Guests entering the outskirts of Longreach when travelling by road on the Landsborough Hwy from Barcaldine, should continue in a westerly direction past the Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame on the left and the Qantas Founders Museum on the right for a further 2kms.
As you approach the junction of Galah St and the Landsborough Hwy you will observe the historic Longreach Railway Station on your right.
Before you reach Longreach Station turn left into Galah St and the Motor Inn is on your left with easy access to the driveway/reception area.
Guests travelling from the northwest (Winton) should proceed along the Landsborough Hwy until they reach the roundabout and whilst keeping the water tower on your right, proceed through the roundabout staying on the Landsborough Hwy. As you approach the Longreach Railway Station on your left, turn right into Galah St. and enter the Motor Inn on your left.
Guests travelling by train on the Spirit of the Outback from Brisbane via Rockhampton, Emerald & Barcaldine will terminate their journey at the Longreach Railway Station – the last station on the line. Walk 30m across the road from the station and you will arrive at the Longreach Motor Inn.
Guests arriving by air and travelling by hire car should exit the airport (ensure you stop at the railway crossing) and then turn right onto the Landsborough Hwy and proceed 2kms in a westerly direction towards the Longreach township. As you sight the Longreach Railway Station on your right, turn left into Galah St. and the Motor Inn is directly on your left. A reliable taxi service is available at the airport.
Greyhound Coaches have a daily overnight service from Brisbane to Longreach and Emerald Coaches run a twice weekly service from Rockhampton via Emerald on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
